We have been closely monitoring the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak and have been in researching its effects on the cleaning industry. We want to assure you that we are taking every step necessary to protect you and our employees. We do believe, after reading reports from the CDC, that Covid-19 only lives for a short period of time outside of the body. The CDC also advises that the dry cleaning process, which includes cleaning and pressing, is effective to kill most viruses, including Covid-19.
In order to maintain a safe work environment for all employees, we respectfully ask that any garments or linens that have come into contact with bodily fluids be bagged separately and properly identified for our staff. Our employees are already taking extra precautions when handling your clothes, but there are extra protocol steps that should be taken when handling potentially contaminated items. All other items can be handled as usual.
Twin Oaks is still hard at work cleaning your clothes and household items. While we are open for business as usual, we are strongly urging our customers to sign up for delivery, which is available at no additional cost. This complimentary program reinforces social distancing – there’s no need for you to leave the house!
